Our Super Star

Renee was so excited to have made the Track Team at her school. I went to the Zone meet to take photos and share in the excitement of the day. She did well at the Zones, even though she didn't get a medal. It was a beautiful day to share in the enthusiasm of the athletes and she had a blast with all her friends who had made the team! No matter what, she's always a Super Star in my eyes!

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches to do this layout. It was perfect for the picture that I had wanted to scrap right down to stars and all! I used a line of patterned papers that is supposed to be for boys, but the colors were just right for the photo, so I used the silhouette to create a few embellishments to go with it. I also added some grunge in the background! You can't tell from the photo, but it had rained the day before the meet and the ground was wet. The shot put area was just mud and she was covered by time they were done! Of course, she didn't want me to scrap THAT photo! LOL!

Materials- Echo Park This and That Patterned Paper, Echo Park Element Stickers ( from various collections), Stars- Bazzill Chips, Twine- The Twinery, Ink- Ranger Tim Holtz, Spray- Dilusions

So glad you played along with Stuck?! sketches. I like the little frame below your focal point with the text, and I adore how you worked the star into your title, making a meaningful embellishment even more so. - Ann Jobes www.lovestnpaper.com
