Hi Everyone! Today we have another great sketch at SOUS! My layout today is about Soccer. Renee and Chantal coached Noah's soccer team this season and at the end of the year they all got medals. Noah was super happy about that and Chantal and Renee were glad that they had put the effort into coaching his team.

Calm Life- SOUS- Project Life

Today at SOUS, the Project Life Challenge was to use a Quote Card! There are so many freebies available these days that you won't have far to look to find one to use on your spread. I had saved this one on my computer, but sadly don't know where I got it from otherwise I'd like to give a link as to where to find it.

The quote says...It's okay to be happy with a calm life. Sometimes, that's just the way I like and the ordinary things in life can add to that calmness and peace in your everyday.

Hope you get a chance to pop on over to the SOUS blog and enter your project for a chance to win a great prize at the end of the month!

Project Life- SOUS

Happy Summer Everyone! Hope you're having fantastic weather and enjoying the outdoors as much as I am! This week at SOUS our Project Life Challenge is do a spread about Summer! Well, this is pretty easy seeing as we spend a lot of time outside and at the lake during the summer months. Some days at the lake are just lazy days. We spend time on the deck laying around, reading, talking and just soaking up some sun.

I am taking a Silhouette class and I made the little Polaroid Summer Frame that I tucked by the photo. One day soon, I'm going to learn how to share these with you all!

Remember that SOUS is offering a great monthly prize to one of our challenge participants, so be sure to enter your project on our blog!

Dance Love

How is summer going for everyone? I'm having a blast so far! Spent some time at the lake and then a road trip with the girls! FUN! FUN! You know what else is fun? Reveal day at SOUS! My layout based on this weeks sketch is about Dance! When Renee had to quit soccer, she found dance and she also found a great teacher and mentor who has encouraged her throughout! She loves Elvira and she love performing! These photos were taken just before her April performance.

Hope you are able to find some time to join in the challenge and get your name entered for a great prize drawing this month! Hop on over to the SOUS blog and see what other designers created and give it a whirl!

Buttons! Buttons!

Today over at SOUS the Project Life Challenge was to use buttons on your spread! Who doesn't have tons of buttons in their stash? I know I do and in every color imaginable!

This weeks spread includes a lunch date with Mariel at DQ! How romantic! LOL! I put in a text conversation that I had with Renee. I was abit stumped at first because the screen shots on the iPhone come out as png files and I needed jpegs. Well, Paint to the rescue! So for anyone who needs to, converting photos to different files in Paint is a really easy, super fast thing to do. Glad I found that out! I also included a couple of photos of the grandkids playing at our house. It was so funny. I had gone out to buy them toys and lots of bubble things to play with because we didn't seem to have many outdoor toys. When they were leaving, they nicely clutched them all in their hands and took them home! Guess grandma has to go shopping again! LOL!

So anyways, pop on over to the SOUS blog to see the other projects with buttons and to enter your own project for a chance at a great prize this month!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all are off to a great start to your summer! I know I am! We have another great sketch for you to work with this week over at SOUS! If you can find some time to give it a whirl, you'll be entered into the prize drawing at the end of the month that will be given to one of our lucky challenge participants! Here's my take on it! I used a bunch of the 3x4 cards that are actually meant for Project Life, but they worked well on this layout!

Noah played soccer this year for the first time in the Timbit division of U6's! He wasn't really that much into team sports it seems. He spent most of his time on the field tracing the letters on the side boards! LOL! Once in awhile though, he got in there and kicked a ball, but he wasn't too keen on someone taking it away from him. It appeared that he really didn't understand what soccer was all about. Oh well, maybe in another couple of years, he'll get the point and enjoy it! What he did really enjoy was the medal that he got at the end of the season!

Happy Easter? Project Life Catch Up!

Well, yes it's June and I'm working on Easter for my Project Life. I got quite far behind there for awhile! Work got in the way! LOL! The other thing that happened was that I didn't take many photos in April! Thank goodness there was Easter or it would have been a non-existent month for me. OOPS! Oh well, sometimes these things just happen and there's not much we can do about it except try to be more diligent the next month. Anyways, this week at SOUS, our challenge was to use stickles/glitter on our spread. This worked out perfectly for my Easter page. I decorated the embellishments that I cut on my Silhouette with stickles and it sure added some fun sparkle. I also couldn't resist adding some glittery embellishments to the page too.

Head on over to the blog and enter your page in our challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize this month!

Fall Color

I had some extra time, so thought I'd do a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. The colors this Fall were so pretty, so on Thanksgiving, we took some photos in front of one of Mom's trees in her backyard. The top that Renee was wearing kind of blended right into the tree!

Materials- Patterned Paper- American Crafts Autumn Crisp, Flowers- Prima and Recollections, Brads- Making Memories, Stickers- Simple Stories- 24/Seven, Doodle Bug Shades of Fall Cardstock Stickers and some from my stash, Little Yellow Bicycle Stick Pins, Ink- Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink

Happy Easter

Today over on the SOUS blog, we had a lovely sketch to work with! I rotated and flipped the sketch to accommodate my photo and the background paper that I wanted to use.

Every Easter we put together a basket full of food and go to church to bless them. After the blessing, we come home to share what is in our baskets. It's a tradition that the kids love.

Pop on over to the SOUS blog to see what everyone created using the sketch! Enter your layout based on the sketch for a chance to win a fabulous prize this month!
