Laya's Birthday

This layout is going into Laya's album. It's some family photos from her birthday. I used a sketch from Sketchabilities to do this one. I'm also entering it into a few other challenges. Scrapfit had a challenge to use a doily on your layout and it worked perfectly with this sketch. Unique Crafters had a challenge to use ribbons on your layout and I incorporated some little ribbon bows into my flowers. The Paper Variety had a challenge to use handmade flowers on your layout. I made some little rolled flowers as well as made some flowers out of the patterned paper and then added another flower to the center of these. I used an older line of Crate paper. Love using up some of my stash!

A Day at the Dinosaur Park

More photos of our Day at the Dinosaur Park. Yes, I still had the Echo Park papers on my desk, so decided to use more of them! LOL! I'm almost out. Darn, because I really liked this line. I did this one for a challenge at Scrapfit. It was for the weekend warm up challenge which was to use clusters on your page! I clustered some little banners at the top and then clustered some embellishments at the bottom.

I did this layout for a challenge at Scrapfit. The challenge was about the Simple Things in life. For me, there is nothing like the simple pleasure of seeing a bond and such deep love between a father and daughter. When these two are together it is very easy to see the connection they have with each other. Our Father's Days are not spent at fancy restaurants, but rather at home gathered together with the ones we love and that is enough. I tried a couple of new things on this layout, like using the Pink Paislee mistable paper. I really like how the background turned out and you can mist it in any color to match your layout. These papers will surely put my lonely mists to work!
