Deep Freeze

Hi Everyone! I have a layout up on the SOUS blog today done with the Jan. 16th sketch. We went to the Deep Freeze Festival this year as Renee was performing. What a fun time we had there. There was tons of entertainment, ice and snow sculptures, street performers, warm bonfires burning, music, dancing, sports of all kinds, food galore and of course, lot's of snow, wind and cold! LOL!

Renee and Chantal enjoyed a fun little treat of maple syrup rolled on a stick in the snow. ( Don't worry, they use cleanly made snow :)) Renee also enjoyed  having her photo taken with none other than Anna and Elsa who of course made an appearance at the Festival.

This layout is actually created in two parts. The first part was the background on the patterned paper.

The next part was done on a transparency that I found in my stash and placed on top of the background!

I realized afterwards that I probably should have put some white paper down on my kitchen floor before taking the photo! LOL! Oh well! You get the picture!

Another fun little thing I did was alter the snowman sticker to match my layout! He came from an old collection of Basic Grey, so was in muted reds, greens and brown. Some markers quickly fixed that issue! :)

That's it for today! Hop on over to SOUS to see the sketch and take part in the challenge if you'd like!
