Project Life-SOUS- Embossing

When I saw that the challenge for Project Life was to use embossing, I had a moment of panic! Like many of you, I do have embossing powder and not just one tube of it, but several. I have pure white, glossy and black. I did use them once when I first bought them...um, ages ago! But then they went into the drawer and I promptly forgot about them until this week! Embossing powder is like glitter with me...we are NOT friends, but I did give it a go and I like how it turned out!

Although you really can't see it well, I used the pure white embossing powder on the bell at the top and with the stamp I used, it turned out really pretty! I tried taking several photos, but just couldn't get it to show up well here, but it is a fun technique! For the red and blue snowflakes, I took a stamp and stamped the image onto some white cardstock, embossed it and then used distress ink over top. The part that you've embossed shows up white, which is so pretty for snowflakes! Although I ruined several pieces, it was a fun technique to relearn and I hope you'll be able to give it a try on your pages to add some fun embellishments! Pop on over to the SOUS blog to gather more embossing inspiration! Remember that there is still time to enter your project for a chance at some blog candy! You don't want to miss out on that!
