Love You Forever

The challenge this week at Scrap Our Stash was a Tic Tac Toe challenge. I was able to do this layout of Isla for her Baby Book. The row that I used for the challenge was the Washi Tape which was the border for my page, the +3 Buttons ( love to use those up from my stash) and the Chipboard, which was some Maya Road words that I painted black.

Isla was so sweet when we put her down on the grass. She wanted to touch it, but was hesitant. She kept smiling and looking at us. I think the texture was strange to her, so she would always pull her hand back. Too cute!

Happy-SOS reveal

This month, the theme at Scrap Our Stash is to do a layout using tags and a photo of yourself. These photos were taken at Mother's and Father's Day. I used up some leftovers that I had of an Echo Park Mini Theme called Hello Spring. I so do love using up my stash to make way for some new products! All I have left now is a few stickers that I can use somewhere else.

Live- SOS reveal

This month, the theme at Scrap Our Stash is to do a layout using circles! Well, I've managed to fit quite a few of them in there! I used some materials that I had in my stash for a long time. I only had bits and pieces of it, but they sure came in handy for this theme. The papers are from Prima called Reflections. I used up almost everything I had left from there and that is something I love to do! The photos are from my daughters stagette that was held before her wedding.

Together

The theme at SOS this month is Tear It. Tearing paper was something I used to do alot of, but then kind of forgot about. I really do like the effect it gives along the edges of paper, so I was glad to be reminded about this technique. I fussy cut some flowers and pop dotted them for some added texture and then I painted a layer of glitter because I just like sparkle! :) I used a line of Bo Bunny called Serenity. The paper kind of matched Laya's dresses. I was trying to decide how to finish the chipboard word and then finally realized that I liked the look of just the raw piece, so I left it like that.

SOS- BTS Challenge

Well, September means Back to School for so many, but at SOS, BTS means something different this September! For this challenge, use the initials BTS to create your layout. For mine I decided on:
B- Bo Bunny
T- Twine
S- Sew Stamper

Once you are done, make sure you submit your layout to be showcased on the blog and for a chance to be a Guest Designer!

Chantal enrolled Noah in Mom and Tot swim classes at the local pool. He absolutely loved the water and couldn't wait each week to get into the pool. He would call me up and ask if we were coming to watch him. We went every chance we got and he was so happy when we were there!

Moving On- SOS Reveal

Reveal Day at Scrap Our Stash today! The theme for this month is Time Will Tell. I chose to do a layout about Renee. She had a very rough year in Grade Six and is very happy to be moving on from elementary school into Juniour High. I hope it will be a great experience for her. She did learn alot and grow as an individual from her trials during the year. I know from experience that Juniour High can be very difficult as well. I hope from all the things that happened during Grade Six that she has matured and learned some life lessons. Time Will Tell what will happen during the following year, but I'm hoping for only good things!

I dug some Fancy Pants papers I had in my stash to do this layout. Really fun school patterns and colors in this collection! I also found some ruler stickers hanging around. Who knows when I bought those? LOL!

True Blue- SOS May I Challenge

This month's challenge at Scrap Our Stash is  "The May I" challenge. The deal was to find someone's layout that you'd like to scraplift. I chose to scraplift a layout done Lynn ( aka scrappyhappymom). Here is her layout....
What a really loved about this layout was that everything was at an angle. I tend to be a very linear scrapper, but I think that the jaunty angle really adds a fun element! I also really loved the spray of layered embellishments across the bottom. So here is my take on her lovely layout.....

This is Bryce, Chantal and Noah celebrating Bryce's birthday. I used a great line of papers from Authentique to do this layout!

Materials- Patterned Paper- Authentique, Cardstock- Bazzill, Flowers- Bazzill and Prima, Chipboard- Maya Road, Buttons- RAK from my scrappy friend Cindy, Twine- The Twinery, Stickers- Authentique, Ink- Ranger Tim Holtz, Brads- Making Memories

The Great Outdoors

I got to be a Guest Designer at Scrap Our Stash for the month of March and was very excited to get an email asking me to stay on as a member of the Design Team! I did this layout for the April challenge, which is Spring Fling. To me, Spring means the return of Lake Season. We don't go to our cabin during the Winter months, but come April or May, we all head out there to open things up and get ready for the summer. Our Springs are still pretty cool, but there are buds coming out on the trees, grass is starting to turn abit green and it's just a joy to hear the birds singing instead of chattering their poor little beaks! LOL!

Lucky

This is a layout that I did for a March Guest Design Team Spot at Scrap Our Stash. The theme for March was Green. Green made me think of St. Patrick's Day which made me think of "lucky" which made me think of my husband. LOL! I'm very lucky to have him in my life! I used some Echo Park For the Record papers that I had sitting here waiting for the perfect layout. I'm really glad for sites like Scrap Our Stash because it forces me to look through things and actually use them instead of keeping them. I think this one is going into my All About Me Album!

I Heart You All

Ok, well what you see here is the product of my madness! LOL! Every so often, I get this weird idea in my head that I need to learn/do something different. I kept thinking about the challenge at Scrap Our Stash, It was the February Leap challenge. I thought I should take a leap and try something new. So I found some very lovely flowers to make on the Bo Bunny blog and tried them out. They turned out pretty darned cute if I might say so myself! LOL! I was looking through my drawers and found all this glitter I had bought ( heaven only knows why) and thought maybe I should use that. Needless to say, I'm absolutely covered in pink and green glitter right now and so is everything else that I touch!  I brought out the stickles ( another thing I thought I should have and didn't know why). All the mists, Perfect pearls and inks etc. all came out. These are all things that I don't use all that often, yet have tons of. I just may have to start, on occassion, getting some use out of them. I also had a Martha Stewart vine punch that I had bought last year and never used, so I tried that out and quite liked it too.  I knew I wanted to scrap these wedding photos from my nieces wedding. The challenge at The Paper Variety was a photo prompt and in it the girl was holding a box with an engagement ring. Perfect fit with this challenge! Then of course, I needed a sketch because well, I love sketches. :) I found one that fit my photos at Scrappy Sketches. Last, but not least, off to find a title and again a perfect fit was found at Bird is the Word where the challenge word for  February is Heart! So there you have it! It's fun to try something new once in awhile!
