I Love Summer

Oh how I wish Summer were here already! But doing this layout will have to be good enough until it does come. I used the March 27th sketch from SOUS done by Leah to do this layout of the grandkids in the pool last summer. What a great time they had in there. It was so nice during the week that we spent at the lake. I think they were in the pool everyday several times.

I used a line from Carta Bella called Summer Lovin to do this one. It had some really fun patterns and colors.

Please do stop on by the SOUS blog where designers are sharing their take on the sketch daily. If you try out the sketch, link it up on the side bar over there.

Grateful for You

Good Wednesday morning! It's my day up on the SOUS blog. As usual, I'm scrapping way behind. These are photos of Noah and Isla from last Fall.  The leaves were so pretty at the lake and they had such fun playing in them as kids do.

I used a Fall line from Carta Bella  for this layout called A Perfect Autumn. I loved the cute little animals in the sticker collection.

Please stop on by the SOUS blog. Everyday designers there are showcasing their layouts. If you give the sketch a try, make sure to link it up.

Together-SOUS

Happy Friday! Today over on the SOUS blog, we have a fun sketch done by Nanne! Here is my interpretation....

These lovelies are my three daughters and my adorable little granddaughter. I had fun using my Silhouette for this layout. I love the backgrounds that you can use. So pretty and this one with the hearts was just perfect for what I wanted because I sure do love these girls with all my heart. I also cut out the big circle and the border. It was also great because I used up most of the rest of this collection of papers! Yay me! It is the Paris Girl from Carta Bella and I even threw in an old piece of Crate Paper because I thought it needed a pop of green. Hope you get a chance to go over and see what everyone did with the sketch! Amazing I tell you!

Materials- Patterned Paper- Carta Bella Paris Girl and Crate Paper Season Collection, Stickers- Carta Bella Paris Girl, Cardstock- Bazzill, Flowers- iamroses, Ink- Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink and StazOn , Liquid Pearls Ranger, Teresa Collins Stamp, Bo Bunny Chipboard

The Best of Times

Another entry into Islas baby album! YAY! I'm almost caught up. It's such fun getting to do some girly layouts. My flower stash was getting kind of lonesome already. This was just a super quick and fun layout. Isla was 4 months old in the picture and this was the pretty dress that she actually wore for Christmas! I decided to use some pink and black papers to match her dress. The only Christmas stuff I had was green and red and that just wouldn't do! LOL!

Materials- Carta Bella Paris Girl Patterned Papers and Element Stickers, Bazzill Cardstock, Flowers Recollections and Prima, Brads from Making Memories, American Crafts Remarks, Tim Holtz Distress Ink from Ranger

Another one of Miss Isla! So fun to do baby girl layouts and I have SO many photos already. It's hard to choose which ones to do. I think I'll be very busy scrapping in the future! :) I used more of the Carta Bella Paris Girl papers and I even pulled out my very neglected Slice machine and cut out some titles, flowers and hearts!

Introducing Isla Quinn

I've kind of been absent from my blog lately, but with very good reason! I'm very excited to be a Grandma for the second time to a beautiful, little baby girl! Isla Quinn was born on August 13, 2012 at 3:31 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds even and was 18 inches long! She is a very good natured baby and so far seems pretty content with life as long as she's fed. I've been spending alot of time cuddling this tiny bundle and making sure that her big brother has lots of attention too. I'm pretty much thinking that you all are going to be seeing her cute face alot! I used some Carta Bella papers for this layout called Paris Girl. Love the quality of their papers and they have such a nice texture.
